Sandhills Compatriots,
Our New Sandhills Chapter Slate of Officers took the SAR Oath of Office delivered by COL Army (Ret.) Pat Niemann (NCSSAR District #3 – Vice President ) during our Christmas Dinner on December 5th.
Our new slate of Chapter Officers are:
President – Army COL (Ret.) Mike Saulnier – Southern Pines, NC
Vice President – Army COL(Ret.) Jonathan Battle – Southern Pines, NC
Secretary – Victor Burns – Carthage, NC
Registrar – Jack Laflin – Pinehurst, NC
Treasurer – Ramsey Blanks – Southern Pines, NC
Chaplain – NC Senator Tom McInnis – Pinehurst, NC
I sincerely want to Thank You All for your strong support and active participation with growing and improving our chapter these past three years. Our success and SAR achievements could not be obtained without your Teamwork. A very Special Thanks to our past Chapter Secretary, Mike Fusselbaugh, who always provided us with his professional contributions and his dedication to our Sandhills chapter, since well before we received our Sandhills Chapter Charter in 2020.
My parting request is that you all continue to provide strong teamwork support, dedication, and active participation in our chapter with our new slate of Sandhills Officers to keep our chapter growing and meeting all the goals of the Sons of the American Revolution.
I hope to see you all at future meetings and SAR events.

Thank You to the Ladies of the Sandhills Women’s Auxiliary (WOSAR) for decorating the Pine Crest Inn Christmas Dining room and obtaining very nice Door Prize donations for another successful FundRaising event.
Sandhills Treasurer, Compatriot Ramsey Blanks(Charter Member), receives the SAR Roger Sherman Medal Set for his long and dedicated service to the Sandhills Chapter, Sandhills Color Guard Unit, and the SAR Society.
Compatriot Chuck Cutler receives his SAR Membership Certificate, Approved Record copy of his SAR Application, and his SAR Lapel Pin, 20 years after becoming a SAR member.
Barbara Marsh (Sandhills Chapter WOSAR) presented an interesting program about Christmas Traditions and beliefs that led up to the Colonial Era Christmas observances. Thank You Barbara!
